I draw strength from Him.

The VBS has come to an end and I must say,

A BIG Phew!

We couldn't have done it without God's strength. I'm not going to elaborate cuz it would be one of those long, draggy and boring review.

I'm just gonna focus on the main highlights: the sessions, the hike and the movie.

The sessions:
To my surprise, I found it quite useful and meaningful. God's Holy Spirit was really speaking through Eugene as he talked about the 7 C's of making a decision. (Wanna know what it was? Should've come for the VBS then XD). I think many were touched when Eugene played the 40 min sermon by Louie Giglio on his 'Indescribable Tour'. Just how small we are and how great God is.

The hike:
Oh my goodness. Getting stuck in an hour long of traffic jam was definitely NOT the ideal start for the hike. However, throughout the hike I saw a lot of teamwork, unity and caringness coming out of the teens. Me, being unfit was stuck behind with Mang Eng and it was very encouraging to have people motivating you from behind and forward. When both of us reached a point they were like cheering on. That was exhilirating! Though my muscles are killing me so bad right now I hope that we can have more hikes like yesterday. It was not only fun but the fellowship was priceless =)

The movie:
I must admit that the timing for the movie was a bit inappropriate. I myself nearly knocked off halfway during the show. It was Eugene's closure at the end that really mattered. We had three new friends that joined us. Hopefully they will come again for TC

The night before the VBS, I was feeling insecure, unpeaceful, scared, frustrated, discouraged and doubtful. But God has shown me that nothing is impossible with Him and this year's VBS has happened the way it is because God wanted to teach me. I thank God for it.

Let me just post a blogpost courtesy of Brooke Ligertwood. I found it really encouraging after what I went through on this VBS. It's a bit long but if you have the time, please make time to have a read.

An Over-My-Head Epiphany
29 May 2009 // B-Lig

It was a Tuesday night a few weeks ago. I was on a stage, sweating, singing, pray-thinking. About Jesus, my inadequacy, the art He makes out of my junk, the people in front of me and the art He wants to make out of their junk: the usual.

I looked up and noticed something I hadn’t noticed until that point… Probably because I had my eyes closed for most of the time… (the metaphors are kicking in).

Our resident lighting ‘artiste’ - “3rd Grade” we call him - is a talented man. I thought he must be pulling out the big guns and doing something extra spesh… from the back of the building streaming toward me and over my head were hundreds of shafts of light, pulsing from a single point and fanning out toward a destination somewhere behind me.

I must have stared up at this for a few songs in a row. It was beautiful. Symphonic. Cinematic. Each ray of light would turn, move, change colour - dancing in sync with all the others yet completely itself. I had never seen 3rd Grade use this effect before and was steadying myself to give him a big pat on the back afterward, when I got the urge to turn around and look at where the shaft-light-things were heading.

And as it turned out, 3rd Grade’s whizz bang trick was no whizz bang trick at all. It was only the projector, casting the live camera feed onto the screen above the stage. All the beams of light were travelling from the same origin, going forward and coming together to create a single, moving image.

Maybe that’s not unlike you and I and how we feel sometimes. Kinda dancing along alone in the darkness. But maybe if we could see things from a different angle - above or below - or a different dimension outside our time-bound context – eternity - we would see what we are… part of the greater visual chorus, making up a small but essential pixel in the great big picture God is creating through the collision of our unredeemed humanity and his great redemption plan.

I should open my eyes more often.

3 things that made me smile.

Man Utd clinching the BPL title for the third time in a row!

Kris Allen beating Adam Lambert to the American Idol crown!

Burnley defeating Sheffield United 1-0 to gain the last spot in promotion to the BPL next season!! =D

This is ecstatic! Next: Champions League trophy for the Red Devils in Rome?

Guess what I found on Facebook.

-starting to freak out cuz 15,000 tickets have been sold

And he wins them all.

I didn't want to post yesterday cuz everyone would be flooding about Kris.

But I'm so DAMN proud of you Kris!

He's the first Idol contestant that I've supported from the beginning that actually won. Amazing.

And to you Lambert fans, I don't know what to say lar. I'm sure your faces were so disappointed when you heard Kris' name instead of Adam. Padan muka!

Definitely, no boundaries!

Back from the docs.

Went to the doc's again.

He said it wasn't even a flu because of the mild fever I have and no body aches.

I feel relieved, calmed and peaceful knowing that it's not the A(H1N1).

But at the same time I want the fever to go away-so that I can start eating what I like to eat again.

I saw this car at the clinic with a sticker on it's back. It said:

DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE
You might hit a bump and spill your drink.

=D Awesome.

Patience, trust and hope.

1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Romans 5:1-5

I've always loved these few verses because of how it reminds me that it is good to 'suffer' once in awhile.

I've been feeling unwell for nearly a month now since I got sick with a flu bug a month ago. Ever since then, I've been recovering then I get sick again, recover and now I'm sick again. It is even worse now that Malaysia is getting the A (H1N1) flu virus. I will admit that eventhough I've had no contact with anyone who's just traveled from the affected areas, I worry over getting it.

That's when trust really plays a big part. I was reading Streams In The Desert one day and it said,

when we ask for patience, God will send an almost unbearable person for us to deal with. When we ask for faith, we will experience illness or diseases. So on and so forth.

God so-call produces these fruits in many ways we deem as fatal or painful. But we cannot question His ways because He knows best.

I know I'm not studying or doing anything at the moment but trust me, stress is still there. For example, getting sick during unwanted times. Another thing is that people (rather someone) are starting to get on my nerves and annoy me, in any way possible. I'm finding it hard to deal with this one person but I prayed for patience for so many years. Maybe this opportunity is staring at me in the face.

I hope God will help me deal with this individual. I'm on the brink of giving up because of individual A.

You are faithful,
You are faithful,
You are faithful,
Your joy is my strength.

K.A.K.A.

No that's not the name of the Brazilian footballer who plays for AC Milan.

K.A.K.A is the abbreviation for..

Kris Allen Kicks Ass!

Ok probably it should be K.A.K.A!

Woohoo. I don't care if people are saying,

Danny should have been in the finals cuz his vocal range is better than Kris's. Jeers to Danny.

I beg to differ lar. Kris is far more talented musically and he has originality. Seriously I was so sick of people rooting for Danny and Adam, they've got support from I don't know where. And if the finals was between Danny and Adam, it would have been SOOOO BORING. Cuz it would have been so predictable. Here comes Kris-the dark horse that provided a twist in the story.

His version of Kanye's Heartless was so good that it left ME heartless.

First he kicked Alison (that's Strike 1-Alison) out, then Danny (that's Strike 2-Danny)-you're next, Adam Lambert (that's Strike 3-Adam Lambert , and you're ALL OUT!)

Anyways, I don't really care if he doesn't win. He's already a winner to us many fans!

When things seem unfair..

I have to take Chelsea's side this time round.

Although I'm delighted that they're no longer in contention of the Champions League Cup, I think a few wrong decisions were made. Chelsea were defintely denied at least 2 confirmed penalties. The other two were strong calls as well but I don't want to say anything.

The two confirmed penalties were handballs in the box. One by Gerard Pique and the other I can't remember who. Poor Blues. Now they want to fire Drogba because of his reaction at the final whistle.

It's been a football mad week with BPL matches over the last weekend and Champions League football this week. At least the finals are not in two to three weeks time. Some rest.

Manchester derby up this Sunday! So is Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, especially MY MOM! =) I love you mommmmmyy.

Oh yea, Kris Allen is through to the final three!!!

This boy's a heartbreaker.

We're going to Rome to beat the crap out of Chelsea or Barca.

Like the papers say it,

Why should ManU sell Ronaldo and buy Kaka?

Love him or hate him, ManU has to keep this boy even if it means holding our asses till the end.

This guy is da sh*t! (in a very good way)

3 songs.

I know there are more important things but these three tunes are just stuck in my mind at the moment.

#1 How You Love Me Now by Hey Monday
#2 Use Somebody by Kings Of Leon
#3 I'd Come For You by Nickelback
#4 Lovers In Japan by Coldplay

Oh..make that four.

Just one more moment,
Thats all that's needed,
Like wounded soldiers,
In need of healing
Time to be honest
This time I'm bleeding
Please don't dwell on it
'Cause I didn't mean it

I can't believe I said I'd lay our love on the ground,
But it doesnt matter 'cause I made it up forgive me now
Everyday I spent away my souls inside out
Gotta be some way that I can make it up to you now, somehow

By now you know that,
I'd come for you,
No one but you,
Yes I'd come for you,
But only if you told me too,
And I'd fight for you,
I'd lie its true,
Give my life for you,
You know I'd always come for you

I was blindfolded
But now I'm seeing
My mind was closing
Now I'm believing
I finally know just what it means to let someone in
To see the side of me that no one does or ever will
So if your ever lost and find yourself all alone
I'd search forever just to bring you home
Here and now, this I vow

By now you know that,
I'd come for you,
No one but you,
Yes I'd come for you,
But only if you told me too,
And I'd fight for you,
I'd lie its true,
Give my life for you,
You know I'd always come for you,
You know I'd always come for you

No matter what gets in my way,
As long as there's still life in me,
No matter what remember you know I'd always come for you

Yes I'd come for you,
No one but you,
Yes I'd come for you,
But only if you told me too,
And I'd fight for you,
I'd lie its true,
Give my life for you,
You know I'd always come for you,

No matter what gets in my way,
As long as there's still life in me,
No matter what remember you know
I'd always come for you,
I'd crawl across this world for you,
Do anything you want me to,
No matter what remember you know
I'd always come for you,
You know I'd always come for you

I'd Come For You by Nickelback
